Important

  • 15 (12+3) years are also acceptable for some of the universities, if the institution in India is NAAC “A” Accredited (National

  • An admission without GRE/GMAT/SAT scores is possible with some universities.
  • Students with fewer score in TOEFL/IELTS can get admission through pathway or English as second language program.

Part time during study & Post study practical learning opportunities (CPT/OPT)

On-Campus Employment:

  • Can work on campus 20 hrs./week during study time
  • Can work full time, i.e. 40 hrs./week during holidays.

Positions Include:

  • Teaching Assistantship
  • Research Assistantship
  • Fellowship
  • Hourly Employment- Food Services, Library, Event Coordinator, Laboratory Assistant, etc.

Optional Practical Training(OPT):

  • Students who are lawfully enrolled on a full-time basis & have completed at least-full academic year.
  • F-1 visa holders are eligible for a 12-month OPT which allows extension for another 24 months if they hold a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).

Curriculum Practical Training (CPT): 

  • To be eligible for CPT, the student must have completed 9 months in lawful status and should be currently on F-1 status.
  • CPT can be full time (>20 hours week) or part time (20 hours or less per week).
